Ensemble Theatre of Chattanooga has been producing theatre since 2007.  We produce a variety of genres and styles, but have been dedicated to ne play development as a bedrock of our organization.  Through short play festivals, a new play series, staged readings, organational devised theatre, collaborative across medium creations and our podcast, we have put new play development as a priority.  We are mainly a group of about 5-10 very involved artists with several more participating through each of our Jan-Dec seasons.  We have been featured in the American Theatre Magazine by journalist Mark Blankenship and we have had many feature articles in the local media.  We have partnered with various other non profits in the Chattanooga area in the creation of new programming, new works and new artists.  HIghlights include an bullying awareness project that was developed for in secondary education outreach and supported through grants and the local board of education.  THE SPECTRUM PLAYHOUSE is a program in development with the Chattanooga Autism Center which will combine the performing arts with occupational therapy to create an inclusive environment to nuture through interaction and the creative process the neuro typical community with the neuro diverse community.
